What Makes the Women Who “Wow” Us So Memorable?

Julie Johnson, host of the Women Who Wow podcast, sits down to share the key traits she’s recognized in women who seem to charge ahead in life no matter what twists and turns they encounter.

You probably know a few women who “wow” you, and we’ve certainly heard from some impressive women on the Women Who Wow podcast series hosted by Julie Johnson, an extraordinary tech industry leader in her own right.

But what makes these women so memorable and inspirational? Why are we in awe of them or interested in learning what makes them tick? Do they have something in common? Or is because they do uncommon things?

I sat down with Julie to see what she thinks after spending several hours digging into the lives of tech industry movers and shakers like Jenna Stanley, top sellers like Jane Dennis, high-profile lawyers like Carrie Plater, big-picture thinkers (and C-level execs) like Colleen O’Sullivan, self-made business leaders like Jenny Krummenacher, and analytical problem-solvers like Cristina Chaidez.

Why Do These Women Really Wow Us So Much?

I appreciated what she said about how these women have invested in themselves. I also liked the advice she gave about getting to really know the women in your life – what it takes to see the multi-dimensional person for who they really are (rather than just a 2D image in a video chat).

So, hit play now to hear about…

  • what piqued her interest about each of her guests (i.e., why she originally wanted to get to know more about them).
  • what it is that makes certain women standout so much. (Julie shares the top thing she learned from each of her guests so far and the common traits she’s started recognizing.)
  • what you can do to make sure people know about your talent and ambitions.
  • ways to see the women in your lives for more than just the “role” they may be filling at work, home or in your community.
  • how to invest more in women.
  • how you can better help people see you for who you really are.

You will also want to hear what Julie says about investing in yourself (because it’s not selfish…it’s necessary):
